Tracking and consulting services for the recovery of your missing pet

ABOUT US

Freestate Tracking was first conceived of in 2018 when our beloved family dog Holly went missing.  We never brought Holly home, but after working with enthusiastic  local trappers and tracking dog teams, we learned enough to know that helping others in the same situation was going to stay an important part of our lives.  Since then, we've worked tirelessly alongside the best missing pet recovery experts in the region and are now offering our experience to assist in the recovery of your missing pet.  We are trained MARN field technicians with a great deal of practical experience working in a variety of environments throughout the eastern half of the United States.  We're able to help build an action plan through our telephone consultation program and we offer on-site consultation and lost pet tracking services when tracking makes the best sense.  Our trained and tested tracking K9 team of Duck and Goose are enthusiastic about their jobs and stand ready to assist any time.

OUR PROGRAMS

What We Do

CONSULTATION

Telephone or on-site consultation for your search

We schedule an appointment to speak about the current situation with your missing pet.  During our call, we'll discuss your pet and their temperament.  We'll talk a bit about how they went missing and put together a plan for what you can do to tilt the odds in your favor for a successful recovery.  We have the background and expertise to  be able to provide best practices as well as make suggestions about likely areas your pet may be frequenting by use of satellite imagery.

TRACKING

On-site search led by search dogs and our expertise

We bring one of our well trained scent-specific trailing K9s out to your location and attempt to follow your pet's trail.  While missing pets are rarely located during a track, tracking is useful for determining a direction of travel as well as for greatly narrowing down your search area.  Tracking can help save a lot of time, but is not always a wise option.  We pride ourselves on being honest and ethical and will only deploy tracking dogs when it makes sense to do so.
